Download 1st Year English Book (Book I & III) – PTB PDF

English in 1st Year (Intermediate) is technical. Unlike Matric, where you memorized essays, 11th Class English requires you to master Moral Stories, Application Writing, and Punctuation. The syllabus consists of two textbooks: Book I (Short Stories) and Book III (Plays & Poems).

At EDUBOOST, we provide the official Punjab Textbook Board (PTB) PDF which is valid for BISE Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Multan.

⚠️ Expert Clarification: No Essays in 1st Year!

Many students start memorizing "My Hobby" or "Cricket Match". Stop!
In 1st Year, you have Moral Stories (e.g., Thirsty Crow, Greed is a Curse) and Applications/Letters. Essays are part of the 2nd Year syllabus only.

💡 Expert Tip: Where does Punctuation come from?

The 5 Marks for Punctuation are crucial.
Rule: The Punctuation paragraph is always selected from Book I (Short Stories). It never comes from Plays or Poems. Focus your punctuation practice on the first 8 chapters of Book I.
