Download Mathematics-9 Smart Syllabus (ALP) & Model Paper (2025-26)
Mathematics (Science Group) is the most technical subject in the 9th Class syllabus. A single sign mistake can cost you full marks. To help you practice efficiently, the Punjab Textbook Board (PTB) has released the Smart Syllabus (ALP) which highlights the specific Definitions, Theorems, and Exercises included for the 2026 session.
At EDUBoost, we provide the complete roadmap. Do not just download the file; read our analysis below to understand which chapters you can skip to save time.
The "Compulsory Question" Strategy
Question 9 in the subjective section is Compulsory (8 Marks). It is always a Theorem.
You have a choice between:
- Chapter 12: Line Bisectors & Angle Bisectors (6 Theorems)
- OR Chapter 16: Theorems related to Area (4 Theorems)
Expert Tip: We highly recommend preparing Chapter 12 as the diagrams are easier to draw and theorems are shorter.
Math Paper Pattern & Pairing Scheme 2026
The Subjective Section requires you to attempt 2 Long Questions (out of Q5, Q6, Q7, Q8) plus the Compulsory Theorem (Q9). Here is the best pairing combination:
| Long Q No. | Chapter Pairs | Key Method |
|---|---|---|
| Question 5 | Unit 1 (Matrices) + Unit 2 (Real Numbers) | Cramer's Rule / Inversion Method |
| Question 6 | Unit 3 (Logarithms) + Unit 4 (Algebra) | Log Laws / Formula Expansion |
| Question 7 | Unit 5 (Factorization) + Unit 6 (HCF/LCM) | Factor Theorem / Square Root |

Yes, standard scientific calculators (like Casio fx-991ES) are allowed. However, programmable calculators are strictly prohibited.
The total marks are 75. The passing marks are 30 (40%). You need to attempt at least the objective section and short questions correctly to pass comfortably.
